Joining – Nursery
Nursery admissions take place 3 times per year; September, January and April for children who have turned 3 years of age. Application are accepted throughout the year.
Nursery admission timeline:
MAY – SEPTEMBER
Preparations for September starters begin in May. Parents will be contacted about their application and preferred sessions.
JUNE
Parent, carer and children are invited in for new starter session along with a parent information session. This is an opportunity for parents, carers and pupils to meet the early years staff and see our Nursery provision. Session allocation, induction information and starter packs are provided.
JULY
Home visits are completed by the early years team. This is an important get to know you session for the teachers and also for parents, carers and their child and a chance to get to know the child in their home.
SEPTEMBER
Final home visits and team planning. Returning Nursery students begin. Morning/Afternoon stay and play sessions for new starters.
MID – LATE SEPTEMBER
New starters begin starter sessions with parents at the start of the week and move to starter sessions without parents at the end of the week. New starters begin to settle with an individual timetable as their hours are extended to ensure the support they need.
NOVEMBER – DECEMBER
Preparations for January starters being. Parents will be contacted about their application and preferred sessions.
DECEMBER
Parent, carer and children are invited in new starter sessions along with a parent information session. This is an opportunity for parents, carers and their child to meet the early years staff and see our Nursery provision. Session allocation, induction information and starter packs are provided.
Final home visits and team planning are held by the early years team.
JANUARY
Returning Nursery students begin. Morning/Afternoon stay and play sessions for new starters.
New starters continue to settle with an individual timetable as their hours are extended to ensure the support they need.
MARCH – APRIL
Preparations for April starters being. Parents will be contacted about their application and preferred sessions.
Parent, carer and their child are invited in new starter sessions along with a parent information session. This is an opportunity for parents, carers and their child to meet the early years staff and see our Nursery provision. Session allocation, induction information and starter packs are provided.
