EDIB

At Bridge Learning Campus, Equality, Diversity, and Inclusion (EDI) are three pivotal aspects of school life that we strive to embed throughout the curriculum and wider experiences. We firmly believe that every child deserves to be known, valued, and supported throughout their educational journey, enabling them to express their opinions, thoughts, and feelings in a safe environment.
Our Personal Development Curriculum, alongside various lessons, fosters a deeper awareness and understanding of these vital principles. The EDI student committee regularly plans events that encourage our pupils to explore different cultures and celebrate the rich diversity present within our community.

As a school, we are committed to promoting equal opportunities and actively challenge discrimination in all areas of the curriculum and school life. We ensure that curriculum planning takes into account the needs of all students, creating a learning environment that is both inclusive and supportive. Furthermore, we continually monitor and evaluate our curriculum provision to guarantee that it reflects a diverse culture and society, thereby promoting tolerance, respect, and understanding among students.

Our commitment extends to providing resources that reflect and promote equal access for all learners, fostering cultural understanding and awareness. We are particularly focused on closing the attainment and achievement gaps between students across all groups, with a concentrated effort on those eligible for Pupil Premium, students with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities, looked-after children, and students from minority ethnic backgrounds.

At Bridge Learning Campus Our Objectives are:
  1. To increase the attendance of disadvantaged girls (Y9-11) in the secondary school
  2. To ensure all staff are confident and skilled at supporting pupils with SEMH needs so that the number of suspensions amongst this group is reduced.
  3. To deliver a diverse curriculum to ensure the positive representation for all groups
